This Privacy Policy explains how Best Salon handles information when you browse salon profiles, save favourites, submit a review, contact us or submit a business profile. It covers the Best Salon website, rather than the independent salons and external services linked from it.
1. Information you choose to provide
- Reviews: your star rating, review text and email address, plus a display name if the form requests one. WordPress may also record technical comment information, such as an IP address and browser details, to support moderation and security.
- Contact enquiries: the name, email address, message and any information you include when asking us for help.
- Business submissions: the salon name, profile username, category, selected services, city, town or area, street address, contact and social links, opening hours, suitable audience, establishment year, description and photos, along with a submitter email where requested.
- Payment-related support: a submission reference, payment confirmation or screenshot you choose to send to confirm a listing fee or resolve a payment question. Do not send PINs, passwords, one-time codes or unnecessary banking details.
2. Information visible to other visitors
Approved salon profiles display the business information selected for publication, including public contact links, address, photos and services. Approved reviews display the rating and review text, and a display name where used. Your review email address is not displayed publicly by the profile. Contact messages and payment confirmations are not intended for public display.
Do not include private personal details in a public review. If a business address is also a home address, consider what you are comfortable making public before submitting it.
3. Why we use information
We use information to operate the directory, review business submissions, publish approved content, moderate reviews, maintain search and contact features, respond to enquiries, verify listing-fee submissions, prevent misuse and resolve correction or removal requests. We do not sell the personal information submitted through our forms.
4. Saved profiles and local browser storage
The Save feature stores profile identifiers, titles and links in local storage on the browser and device you use. It does not create a Best Salon account or automatically synchronise favourites across devices. You can remove saved profiles using the heart button or clear them through your browser settings. Clearing site data may also remove other locally stored preferences.
5. Technical information, cookies and media
The website and hosting provider may process request information such as IP addresses, browser details, access times and error logs to deliver pages and protect the service. WordPress may use functional cookies for administration or form-related features. Where a remember-details option is offered, it controls the relevant comment cookies.
The directory code does not itself activate advertising or analytics tracking. If additional tracking tools are introduced, this policy and any required choices should be updated before those tools are used.
Playing an external video can send technical information to the video provider. Following map, social, WhatsApp or salon website links takes you to an independent service that may use its own cookies and collect information under its own policy. The directory does not use live GPS to determine the nearest salon.
6. Who may receive information
Relevant website administrators can access submissions and support messages. Hosting, website infrastructure and configured email providers process information needed to run the service and deliver messages. An email you send directly to our published address is handled by the email provider as well as our team.
Approved public content is available to visitors and may be indexed or copied by search engines and other parties. We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to respond to a lawful request, protect the service or address suspected misuse. Providers may process information outside Pakistan, depending on their infrastructure.
7. How long information is kept
We keep listings while needed to operate the directory and manage their accuracy. Reviews and moderation records may remain while relevant to the published profile or a dispute. Enquiries and payment-support records are kept for as long as needed to respond, reconcile submissions and meet applicable record-keeping needs. Technical logs and backups follow the relevant provider and site retention settings. We do not promise a fixed deletion period where one has not been configured.
8. Your choices and requests
You may ask about information you submitted, request a correction, or request removal of a review, photo or profile information. Use the Contact page or email bestsalon.pk@gmail.com. Include the relevant profile link and enough detail to locate your submission; do not send identity documents unless we specifically explain why they are needed.
We may verify that a request is genuine before making changes. Some information may need to remain for security, dispute handling or legal obligations. Removing content from Best Salon does not immediately remove copies held by search engines, external services or backups.
9. Security and information about children
We use available access controls and hosting safeguards to protect information. No online service can guarantee complete security. Avoid sending sensitive medical information in forms or reviews. The directory is intended for people able to make their own service enquiries; children should use it with a parent or guardian. Contact us if you believe personal information about a child has been submitted inappropriately.
10. Private previews and test submissions
In a private test preview, test listings, test reviews and approval choices may be stored only in the current browser. The preview contact form does not deliver email and displays a message explaining this. On the operational WordPress website, enabled forms process submissions through the website and its configured services. Clearing preview browser data removes locally stored tests; contact us separately about information sent directly by email or messaging.
11. Policy updates
